love...Love...L O V E

But the greatest of these is LOVE.

If there was ever a doubt in my mind about being a bargain hunter, the doubt is no longer there.

Now that it's Valentine's Day, it's just an excuse to bring out those finds,
my
 pink candles.

I must pat myself on the back for buying these earlier.

 I'm so proud of
ME
for decorating with thrifty decor.

So glad Valentine's comes in the middle of WINTER.
There're the roses, bouquet of flowers and the softer touches of color that scream spring.

Did you know we enjoy family time at holidays, except for Valentine's?
It's the day designed for
couples.

Happy Valentine's  Day.

I collect candles, candlesticks, serving trays,
tablecloths, runners, napkins and white dishes.

I'm retired!
I have time to grab a cup of coffee
 and
rush out of the house to the next sale.
I'm just like that working person rushing out to beat the
morning traffic.

 I'm my own personal  shopper.

I'm impress with the person
who knows what they love.
Whether it's that candle that
sets the tone or the candle that  lights the mood.

Or a trunk serving double duty at the table.

Enjoy the day and receive the love.

WINTER Deck

It was a challenge!
WINTER weather can take a toll on your outdoor living habits.

I struggled to get my deck decorated
 before the snow melted.

It was 55 degrees today,
Between my foot steps and the rising temperature,
I was fortunate to include a little snow with my decor.
Oh yes, I slipped but I didn't fall.
 That I'm thankful for.

Hope you are inspired.

I added a few before pics.

My favorite word for the WINTER season is cozy.
The combination of candles,
plaid blanket and faux fur throw create a cozy look.

These candles...

I love a beautiful tablescape
 especially one so simple.
All I needed were five candles.
  No more,
 no less
How beautiful.

Do you enjoy outdoor living year round?
  I have my favorite seasons.

.
Love the coziness.
I wanted a cup of coffee, but timing was everything.
Just one sip please?

A few candles make any space cozy.

I ADORE my magnolia clippings.
 What an inexpensive addition.

Thanks for stopping by.

Hope you enjoyed the different decor used to staged the deck.

Be safe and stay warm.
Until the next time,

Porch Sitting, yes please

It's been raining
 and
my porch is the best place
 to enjoy the showers.

With every rock I rock
 and
 every sip I sip,
it's like  taking
 relaxing to another level.

One thing a southerner
 "must have"
 is a porch.
 It completes the ideal home.

We southerners enjoy porch sitting,
especially
at night with a glass of tea or lemonade.

If we say so ourselves,
porches
are great spaces to socialize with neighbors.

We take pride in greeting ALL passers-by.
It's not important to know the name,
we just speak.

I will admit,
the humidity does limit
 my time outside in
 July and August.

My southern design porch comes
with comfy black rockers
dressed
with throw pillows

My go to colors are black, white
 and fuchsia.
The pillows are Hobby Lobby finds.
I purchased the rug at Targets summer end sale last year.

I added white geranium
to complete the scene.

Versus investing in new lanterns,
I spray painted to match the rockers
and
removed the broken glass.
I love the larger size and shape.

My opinion,
if it works, keep it.
It may become a conversational piece.

The smaller candles are timer candles I used
during winter,
especially
  Christmas season.

Thanks for sharing a few moments
 with me.
Until next time,

Susan

reflective of the season....my porch

Welcome to the entrance of my home

....my front porch

 It's winter,

and

the countdown to spring is on.

I love it when mother nature gives me a spring day in mid winter..  a sunny 60 degrees day.

You know me, I have to find outdoor activities: ...it's a perfect day  for winter sprucing of the porch and it's a perfect day for porch sitting.

These mild temps make me appreciate my porch even more, a cozy and relaxing extension of my home.

Here is my winter style:

Lets sip and chat for a while.
coffee or tea?

Check out how my red pillow compliments the rocker;  such an inviting combination.

What a beauty to greet my guest.

If you look closer, you may see my reflection and the grand's trampoline.

That's the joy of being a Mi Mi!

Wreath is from Michael's year end Christmas sale for just $2.00. The  berries and pine cones are a perfect addition for a winter look.  What a deal. Thank you Michael's.

This is just what I needed.

The coca cola crate is a great ideal for my pine cones, mini lite tree and lantern.  Did you notice the stand is another crate?

The rockers are my porch's best friend.  A spot for me to escape and relax.

A must have ... a red lantern. This style is a cozy one.
Can you guess what lies inside the lantern?

A view without trampoline .. .. love, love my wreath

This sign fits all seasons and all occasions.  a year round decor.

I hope you enjoyed the chat as much as I enjoyed the company.
