Summer grabs

This is absolutely my favorite
 window in my entire house.

It's the perfect peek to my backyard garden.

flowers blushing,  flowering trees,
some filled to the maximum with
green leaves and hosta galore.

 Have you ever heard of
someone stalking their own yard?

Please say you are guilty.

I am all about a little alone time
 to reflect on my surroundings
 and
 focus on the importance of
working with women of
all ages in a church setting.

Also, how grateful others are for volunteers.
It's soooo rewarding.
 It's a win,  win situation.

Summer is also bursting inside.
I fell in love with this scarf
 knowing
it would make a beautiful table runner.

Oh, there is a little drama going on
 don't you think?

There is nothing wrong
 with
 pleasure in a bargain find.

and

Oh my
the blue.

I added the pop of blue.

Anytime I see a bargain, I am going to scoop it up.

I have a soft spot for scarves.

How gorgeous is the runner draped on the chair.
Can't stop admiring the wide stripes.

The runner ties everything together.

So many grabs, I can't wait to scoop up more.

I wanted my napkins to be a simple display.

Summer decor ... Never the same

Oh happy week!

A fresh look for a
 new week
and
 a new Season!

"It's never the same around here."
I hear this so often from family.
That's one of the best compliments ever.
It tells me others are loving my passion.

Black/white is popping up everywhere.
 Now
 it's in my bathroom
and
I am loving the color mix.

My bathroom needed a summer look.

It's one of the least expensive spaces to add new accesories.

a refreshing look!

When it comes to sharing my bathroom on social media,
 I have a little reservation.

  Don't laugh.

I borrowed this stool,
 but
it may be a temporary stay.

It's a popular seat around here.  It a perfect seat for a family member to share their day with me.

Here's a close up!

Do you see what I see?  Look at the design.
That's why I couldn't resist.

It's totally different from the one I'm replacing.
It was also gorgeous with a lot of flowers
I'm loving the simplicity.

Beautiful  color combo.
 The towels and shower curtain
are from Ollies.
Ollies is sort of new to the area and I forget it's here.
So excited I stopped by.  I got lost in choices and
stayed longer than expected.

I had to search hard to find the
perfect mat. Matter of fact, I made three stops and the third store had it.
I had a blush/pink mat at the register, but I knew a black/white mat would be a better
contrast.

Have you ever had others to give you unwanted advice while shopping?

Um, I do like the look.

Enjoy the moment.

Until  the next time,

Petals, Blooms, Flowers

If I don't stop at the market for a bunch,
I'm at home rearranging  what I have.

I find some super cheap and others a little expensive,

but

I'll say "y e s" anytime to fresh cut flowers.
yes, on a side table,
  yes, on my mantle
and
yes as a centerpiece.

So much beauty,  I can barely contain my self.

I adore each bloom until the last petal falls.

There's definitely a must for fresh cut flowers on the corner of my sink.
It makes washing dishes more of a pleasure than a chore.

I challenge you to try it.

I personally welcome the showers
 and
the sunshine

because

without,

there wouldn't be so much inspiration in the world.

Enjoy the simple ways I have displayed my flowers.

What an impact.

Love the simplicity

So much beauty in a single rose

Awesome

'
They are a treat while they last.
Loving this

Simple but inspiring

A single rose says it all

Tablescape  impact

Just a love moment.

Right out of the garden

I'll take a trunk load.

Enjoy the moment.

Until next time,

Decorating with black and white

I couldn't be happier!
When I say I'm happy, I mean I'm sooooo happy.

I'm sharing a refreshed side table
 decorated just for me.

Nothing is more inspiring
than black and white with a pop of color,
especially if the pop is fuchsia.

If you will join me at the table,
at some point during the conversation,
I will confess I have a passion for
 pretty things,
and
IG is my go to for photo sharing.  There is so much inspiration.

That's one reason my neutral
loving home has become a home with color.

Styling this table has been so much fun.

I have a crush on black and white home decor.
It's like the plain black dress we have; it's in style for years to come.  All it needs is a few accessories.

What's great about using black, it's always in style.
I'm loving this tablescape.
I knew I wanted to pair black and white plates and it dawned on me, I don't  own black plates.  The rest is history.

Warning!
Many of my decor in this post are finds while thrifting.
I am "a bargain finder".

I loose track of time when I'm surrounded by bargains but I'm never disappointed  with my finds.

I love mixing candle holder styles and shapes.  They look perfect together.

Didn't want to overpower the table with pink,
but I enjoyed creating a little drama with a feminine look.
I knew a few candles would set the stage.
One of my favorite on the table.

I struggle with creating a beautiful flower arrangement,
  but I never feel defeated.
Check out my stress free arrangement.

These napkins just steal my heart.
They are leftover material from another project.
A no sew; just roll, fold.

Are you curious of the cost of the candles still in their original wrap...
less than 25 cents each so I brought all twelve.
Another thrifty find.

I have future use for all 12.
They will be a perfect addition  to my Valentine's Day decor and even Christmas.

Got a light weight scarf?
Just drape it over one of your fav tablecloths. That's what I did.
See, you can't go wrong.

Enjoy the moment.

Until the  next time,

Susan

Porch Sitting, yes please

It's been raining
 and
my porch is the best place
 to enjoy the showers.

With every rock I rock
 and
 every sip I sip,
it's like  taking
 relaxing to another level.

One thing a southerner
 "must have"
 is a porch.
 It completes the ideal home.

We southerners enjoy porch sitting,
especially
at night with a glass of tea or lemonade.

If we say so ourselves,
porches
are great spaces to socialize with neighbors.

We take pride in greeting ALL passers-by.
It's not important to know the name,
we just speak.

I will admit,
the humidity does limit
 my time outside in
 July and August.

My southern design porch comes
with comfy black rockers
dressed
with throw pillows

My go to colors are black, white
 and fuchsia.
The pillows are Hobby Lobby finds.
I purchased the rug at Targets summer end sale last year.

I added white geranium
to complete the scene.

Versus investing in new lanterns,
I spray painted to match the rockers
and
removed the broken glass.
I love the larger size and shape.

My opinion,
if it works, keep it.
It may become a conversational piece.

The smaller candles are timer candles I used
during winter,
especially
  Christmas season.

Thanks for sharing a few moments
 with me.
Until next time,

Susan
