Summer, Time for Relaxation

It's the first day of summer and I wish you and your family a safe and enjoyable summer!   However, I  am calling it the first day of relaxation.

We labored during the spring just for this season........spreading bags of mulch in the flower beds, more than one visit to local nurseries and home improvement stores, manicuring the lawn,  power washing the deck, and giving the lawn chairs a face lift.  Did I mention the backache from weeding?  The beauty we have now outweighs the spring labor.

Why not spend a portion of your summer enjoying the results of your hard labor.   It's summertime.!!!  It's relaxing time!!!

My Dad, Your Dad, Our Dad

Happy Father's Day to all "Dads" 
Enjoy the gifts and love that overshadow you on this special day.

For the past week, there have been many commercials advertising this special day (Father's Day).  One commercial really caught my attention that stated a DAD makes a house become a home.  I do agree as I was fortunate to have such a Dad.

Today, I would like to honor my dad even though he is no longer with me.  He taught and demonstrated good Moral Standards and Godly Principles.  He was one of a kind.

 A special tribute to my dad..........

I hope you enjoyed your shopping spree and found the perfect gift designed just for your dad.   Some retail stores extended their hours to give you the opportunity to find the gift that reflects your dad's personality, his career, his passion, his size and/or even his age. Knowing your dad like I knew my dad, it was easy to find the gift that fit. 

The best gift may be wrapped in a kiss and an I love you.

Mom deserves a "Happy Mother's Day.....

There are millions of moms who will be honored and very deserving of this special day.  Happy Mother's Day to all moms.   

When I saw the picture below via Pinterest, I immediately thought what mom wouldn't enjoy waking up in this inviting bedroom and served breakfast in bed. 

A bedroom... a sanctuary accessorized with a burst of color.  What an inspiration!

Serving mom breakfast in bed is just another way of telling her "thanks" ... a retreat for this special day.

Colorful Spring

I'm patiently waiting for signs of spring.  Until the weather forecast predicts sunny and warmer days, I welcome this weekend's forecast as a perfect time to day dream of what the spring, summer and even the fall holds for us.
